Patients are encouraged to bring medical records of any previous allergy treatment, including written reports of x-rays, CT scans, MRI's as well as pulmonary function tests, prior allergy testing and laboratory results.

For patients with sinus problems, a list of all medications such as antibiotics (taken in the past year) would be very helpful.

A Visit to the Allergist

Sniffling, sneezing, itching, hives, coughing, stuffiness... any of these could be the symptoms of an allergy.  But what are you allergic to?  You may think you know, but oftentimes the only way to find out for sure -- and to get the latest treatment -- is to go to see an allergist.  What can you expect when you go?  Join our panel of allergists to find out they do all day, and whether you should think about paying a visit.  Topics will include:
bulletWhen do you know you have to go to an allergist? How do you find one?
bulletWhat can an allergist do that other doctors can't?
bulletWhat are some of the tests that an allergist may perform?
